Fourth of July!

So I didn't do that great on capturing our Fourth of July festivities this year. Thanks Christy for the great party as usual. I totally spaced bringing my camera! All I have are a few pictures of the kids eating their fruit kabobs! Just a little something fun... until they started using the skewers as swords! LOL Seriously though I really feel that it is sooo important to teach our children about the history of our country especially with our FREEdom being threatened every day. I have not done such a great job in the past but that is going to change! I love my country and am so grateful for those who have sacrificed their lives and precious time in fighting for it!

(So my post are going to be all out of order but I am determined to get them all in this year. The important stuff anyway!)

My little baby is TwO now! Time is flying and I so LOVE the stage my kids are at. I truly enjoy watching them grow and learn about life! It is amazing how each child is so unique and different from one to the next. Grant definitely keeps us all on our toes around here. He is the CaBooSe of the family and just keeps us going! Yes his birthday is May 19th and I am just now posting it. Shame on me!

EMILY'S BAPTISM!

Our little Miss Emily was baptized May 15th, 2010! What a special day it was for the Aker Family! She was so excited and could not wait for this day. I am so grateful for my supportive family and all of the help we received on this awesome day. I am also very grateful to have a husband that honors the priesthood and is able to baptize these special little children that we have been blessed with. The talks were fantastic! Thanks aunt Shannon and Just Grandma! Also a special thanks to Danielle Moyers Photography for taking the pics even when she wasn't feeling well. ;)

MISS KAMI LOST HER FIRST TOOTH!

She is such a cutie! Kami worked extra hard at getting her tooth out! She is already working on the next loose tooth. That night we sat down and watched "The Tooth Fairy"! Yeah Kami!

JUST A FEW LITTLE MEMORIES

I was in the car last week with the two boys and out of the blue Nathan started asking me why he is getting hair on his chest like daddy. I turned around to look at him and he was pulling his shirt down so he could look at his chest. I told him that he was a boy like daddy. He just said that he didn't want any chest hair. I told him that everyone actually has a little bit of chest hair but he was not convinced that it was ok and continued to tell me that daddy has A LOT of chest hair and he didn't want chest hair like dads! It was so funny to see how concerned he was. I just love him to pieces!

MOMS BIRTHDAY!

I had the best birthday EVER this year :)! I woke up to Kami rubbing my feet. Then shortly after that breakfast in bed came. Rob and the kids decorated the downstairs with streamers and balloons and made the best Trader Joes Turtle brownies EVER for me and topped with yummy Aldens strawberry ice cream. We can't forget the 31 candles that I had to blow out. The kids had been very concerned all week wondering if I was going to have a birthday cake and if so would they be able to have some! Rob arranged for the kids to hang out at Just Grandmas and PaPa's while we went to Ah-So! Rob and the kids made it the best birthday EVER! I love you all and thank you for making my day special!

EMILY TURNED THE BIG 8!

We had a birthday party for her at home with family. The Just Grandma and PaPa took her out on Saturday for breakfast, shopping to Build-A-Bear, and then also out to lunch! She was

spoiled. Her baptism is this Saturday and she can hardly wait. She said that she almost wanted to skip her birthday and go straight to her baptism. She is so excited for this special day! I haven't downloaded pics yet but will post them when I do.
