Disneyland 4/16-17/09

Had to do the picture in front of the castle for the girls.
Never saw the princess's so the castle will do.

The icing on the the cake... Mater. I think Nathan was actually more excited about Mater than McQueen.

Mr. Potato Head walked right in front of Kami, looked right at her and raised his eyebrows. I guess you need the video camera for that. It was hilarious.

This was the highlight of the trip for Nathan!

Poor Grant... he was feeling a little picked on. Little Brooke just could not resist the blond hair.

Waiting for the Pixar parade. The parade was one of the funnest things.

Once Nathan saw this car he kept asking to see it until we took him to sit in it. I'm guessing he likes cars.

This wasn't a great picture but just had to put it in there for the memory. Nathan was throwing a fit and had a pretty rough day. It all changed as soon as he was able to drive the car around the track. He even got his own little drivers license! I pushed the pedal and he got to steer!

Doesn't Daddy look so manly on those tea cups? I think one of Emily's favorite things was to carry that map around and look at it! First stop was the train. Nathan had to ride it but when he saw me step off to take a picture he was just a little concerned that they would leave without me. I guess he does love me!

Kami Show & Tell With Baby Chicks! 4/9/09

Kami was so excited about being able to take her baby chicks (not so little anymore) to

pre-school for show & tell. Miss Kylie was a little freaked when one of them jumped up on to her hand. It was lots of fun with Kami's black eye and all!

We got our first chicken egg on April 6th. WOW we never thought the day would come.

They even play hide and seek!

The kids are just so proud and love their chickens! They are a lot of fun I have to admit!

Shame on me. I was so sure that I was going to post at least once a week and look what happened. I love to look back through pictures and go down memory lane. This is just going to be one big catch up post. This is so confusing because it seems everything posts backwards. Guess its just me.

Spring Break!!!!!

I was soooo ready for spring break. It was so nice to not have to worry about being anywhere at any certain time. All of us worked together this week and got the garden in. What an awesome feeling it is to have it all done. Now the real work begins... keeping the chickens from topping off all of the plants! Friday we planned to go to the Desert Botanical Gardens for the butterfly exhibit. We pulled up and they told us than unless we were a member we could not get in. We all were pretty bummed. "Just Grandma" had a good idea to go on over to Tempe Town Lakes and ride the boats over there. The kids had a blast running after the pigeons and hanging over the side of the tour boat. What a fun time the kids had.

History Was Made Today!

History was made today at our house. Grant is the first out of our kids to get teeth before being 12 months old. That's right. The two front bottom teeth popped through today (which explains the crankiness)! He is all set to be a big boy now. He does not want to nurse anymore. He doesn't want baby food anymore. But... he still wants Momma to carry him around all day! Kami hung out at Danielle's house today after school. Nathan was my helper today (between throwing tantrums). He helped me mow the lawn, make bread, and trim and clean up the orange and banana tree. He truly does love to help. And of course Emily comes home and wants to know why she has to go to school while everyone else gets to play all day. Poor Emily. I told her that she will get to drive before Kami gets to because she is older. She informed me that driving isn't really that fun. She is already a smartie!

What a Day!

This is the only time I can relax... when Nathan is asleep wherever it may be! So much fun.
I miss my girls being this age. Look at there cute little faces. This is the day Nathan was born. I just love this picture!

These are my crazy guys! They definitely keep things alive around the house!What a day! Busy little children make for a busy little mommy. People always have stories to tell about when there kids were little and all of the crazy things they did. They always say it wasn't funny at the time but now they can look back on it and laugh. I cannot wait for those days... when I can look back and laugh at all of the things Nathan does. Sometimes he just drives me... yea he is just Nathan. He has started the dumping water back up again. Today he got the honey bear out and poured honey on the floor. An hour later he dumped water on the carpet. A couple hours later I found Nathan on the floor with the honey bear up to his mouth tring to drink it like water. Pretty busy day! Last night we went and saw Miss Gretta. Emily is doing great with school. She has been coming home and getting started right away on her homework. She is doing great with learning about money and telling time. Kami is such a big help with Grant. He will follow her around and just giggle at her all the time. Robert has been at school for the past five nights (except Sunday) until 1:00-2:00 am. I guess this is where his stubborness pays off. He is going to do well in his classes and that is it! We cannot wait for school to be done with!

Saturday

Rob and I got up and went to the temple first thing in the morning. Afterwards we went out to eat breakfast. It was so nice to have some time with just the two of us!. Thanks "Just Grandma"!

FRIDAY
We got up and went to Home Depot, after dropping Emily and Tanner off, to get everything we needed to fence off an area for the chickens. Free range is great but not when it is in your backyard. Matty boy was kind enough to go with me and the three younger kids :) They just love uncle Matt. Kami actually started crying when we dropped him off. Nathan asked if uncle Matt if he would play cars with him. They settled on a dinner out to McD's at a later time! We won't forget uncle Matty. Stopped by Danielle's house on our way back. We stayed just the right amount of time. Uncle Jesse was soooo nice and offered to come over and fence off the area for us. It was amazing. It was done in a few hours and the chickens and kids both love it. Thanks uncle Jesse for looking out for us. Robert also REALLY appreciates it!
